And then the results
The other afternoon I was whining to my little sister Kristy about how we were going to have to wait weeks to find out what we were having and she asked me why I hadn't tried these new gender tests. I googled it and evidently it's been featured on shows like Good Morning America and so on. It's 90% accurate in lab tests and 82% with human error. You pee in a cup and basically it reads hormone levels and so on and tada. We took two to see how accurate it was. So far we are going to assume that the results are correct and that we are now expecting my 4th, Matt's 1st son! lol The kids took it well even though they have really had their fingers crossed for a sister. Now that they have an idea that it's most likely a boy they are more excited to help up try out name combinations and pick out things for the room. We aren't going to be painting the room, or shopping a lot for baby until we get the ultrasound to confirm the results. As soon as we have a name set in stone we will let everyone know, for now it's still something we are working on but having fun with it! We have been a tiny bit disappointed that we aren't having a girl but as you can see, as soon as we found out it was a boy Daddy had to run to the store and buy cute little clothes,.....well, ok , fine, we both did!
I LOVE this little dinosaur sleeper Matt bought, it's so cute!
Matt and I are having a good laugh over God's sense of humor. He must really like this joke seeing as he keeps playing it year after year. LOL!

1st day of school and general catch up
Wow! Has it really been over a month since I last posted?? I'm usually so much more narcissistic and chatty than that aren't I! Ha Ha!
A few fun things have happened since early August. 1st and most important, as you can see, is the 1st day of school for my little Matty! AWWWW! KILL ME! Talk about painful for me ! LOL . I know I have already had the fun of sending the other two off to their very 1st day of school before, but neither of them really hurt quite like this. Michael didn't do pre-k, he went straight to kindergarten, Cody did pre-k but was so much of a big tough guy he was like "BYE SUCKA!!!!!" (obviously not verbatim, but this was his approximate attitude so to speak), at his age he was just so independent and more mature than his 4 years old. Matty however, sigh, he is ever so happily, a Momma's boy!! YAY. He has been uber excited to start school and ride his bus. His 1st day of school he was up and going, going, going by 5:30 am and ready to go out the door by 6:10 lol, I had to watch that front door like a hawk because he was trying to sneak off to the bus stop over and over, he literally had to forced to eat breakfast! I was fine walking him to the bus but about the time I saw the bus rounding the corner I was about to loose it, I had irrational visions of grabbing my child and running full tilt boogey for the safety of my house and holding him hostage with nick jr shows and fishey crackers...lol ok I said it was a THOUGHT...lol I did let him get on the bus. Sigh. He was precious, just waving and waving and saying "byyyyyyyyyyyeeeee Mom!!" just oozing enthusiasm. I wish I had the car that morning so I could have driven him and walked him to his class room but I know how independent he wants to be. I was on pins and needles waiting ALL day for that bus to come back and bring me my baby though, phew, relief! He had a blast and was so proud of himself for going all alone! Michael and Cody also had their 1st day of school as well, and at first they loved having uniforms for school, but by now, week 3, not so much..haha. I do really like their teachers so far, they each seem to have a teacher tailored just for them so I really look forward to their growth this year.
Other than the 1st day of school, we have begun the trek to the halfway point between Fort Polk and Houston, every other weekend to meet at the drop off point for weekends with Dad. About and hour and a half to two hours each way. While Matt and I are enjoying our weekends free, it's hard for me to know they are 4 hours away, where I can't just pop over if there's an emergency, but, I have to trust in their Dad's ability to care for them, this takes A LOT of prayer..lol.

On one of the weekends we had with the kids we took them to a grassy area not to far behind our housing to play football and have a mini picnic of sorts. Matt played football with the boys and chased the dog around, we lay in the sun got attacked by bugs but hey, we just had a blast. Our boxer Cupcake makes my day so fun, this dog cracks me up! she has a grill like a bull dog and sits with her bottom teeth jutting forward all the time, she often sticks the tip of her tongue out and leaves it there as well..lol she looks a tad special ed but we just love her!
Other than all that, we have been to or thrown bbq's most weekends with work buddies and that's been fun. What was fun for Matt was his CLS class (Combat life Saver). They have to administer IV's to one another, now that should be the new Army recruiting slogan...ARMY.....be a guinea pig! HAHA. Matt stuck his partner rather quickly, his partner got him quickly......after letting him bleed a bit..hahaha just watch the video, you can hear Matt in the back ground saying "you're making a mess George" lol.
As for me, I spend my day's cleaning house, running errands, napping (yay perk of pregnancy), annoying my friends on facebook, and being the Treasurer of our FRG (family readiness group). It's so nice getting to know some of the other wives, getting involved and helping plan fund raisers and so on. It's really very fun when it comes down to it. YAY. More of that to come soon. On the baby front there should be some more news tomorrow...YAY...we know what we are having!!!.................... CLIFF HANGER!!!!!! mmmwwwhahahahahahhahaha....ok ok all you facebooker's are cheaters..lol.

Our home all decorated
We finally got the house done, well, as done as it's gonna get! I'm just so tired with this pregnancy that 90% of my projects are on the back burner until I start having more energy! lol So....enjoy...sorry the slide show goes so quickly I'm not sure how to slow it down.

Ultrasound
We finally have a due date of March,09,2010! So baby Morris is on it's way. It was such an awesome moment holding Matt's hand when he saw his 1st baby for the 1st time. Seeing that little heart flutter never gets old, but seeing Matt's face was to die for! So THIS.....is our little...SHRIMP. Well...come on..it looks rather SHRIMP-esq at this point..haha
The Dr. would like to keep a close eye on both the baby. The heart rate was lower than they would like so we get to see our baby on ultrasound quiet often...eh...looking for the positive!

Yay, the Dr said it's fine!
After our blood work this morning we had to spend hours waiting to hear the results and finally not an hour ago the Dr called to let us know that yes, we are defiantly pregnant and he foresees no problems at all! We went from a 96 on my hormone level to a whopping 1,100, so yes...it's good! He did say that this is why my nausea has been so awesome.. ahh the fun begins. lol. We are to go back again this Friday for more blood work to make sure we are far enough along to try for an ultrasound on Monday or Tuesday of next week to see our little dot on the monitor to get a real approximate due date. Man.........what a relief!!! We are all thrilled!

~!!!Happy Independance Day!!!~
Before we get started you have to enjoy this video of Matthew's AMAZING Bowling dance! Oh yes! You are no match for his Kung Fu! If you are wondering what he's saying he said "chickens jackin my style, copy my swagggggggggg" LMAO...ya thats my kid!
Yesterday was the 4th and as a family we decided to try and brave the afternoon heat and go to Freedom Fest here on post. We had to park at the hospital and be bused in. Pretty much as soon as we got off the bus and his the grounds we were all DIEING and I was literally counting down how long we needed to stay to make it worth while before I could beg to go back to my A.C.! My sweet husband and I forgot to take cash..durrr, as if the vendors would have a debit card machine, so he walked about half a mile and back to the Shoppette and get cash to have on hand while the kids and I hid under the tents to have shade. It was LITERALLY 107 outside and that's without the heat index so we didn't stay very long. Even with lemonades, shaved ice and water Myself and the kids were all beet red in the face and I was really light headed and shaking, so we caved and headed back for the buses after 2 and a half hours or so. We missed seeing Clint Black in concert and being there up close for the fire works. We came home and cooled off, ordered pizza and then after dark went out again to the front yard this time (arms reach from the A.C....lol) and lit sparklers from Nana and Grandaddy, and watched the fire works from the yard.
Also I have AWESOME parenting skills and had to take pictures of the kids climbing the light post and then yelled at them telling them to NEVER EVER do it again.. HAHAHA! I had to add it because Michael said ..."Hey Mom, Look, it's a KID-KABOB!!" hahaha!
And last but not least yet another video of Matthew, singing Boom Boom Pow, them chickens jackin my style they try to copy my swagga, im on that next now, and Happy 4th of July Joe..lol instead of YO lol what a little turd, but he's MY turd...lol

Late Father's Day Surprise.....we're PrEgNaNt??!?!?
Why yes....We are! And Yes I am even more surprised than you are! lol. Evidently...I am now literally REPEALING all forms of birth control, including IUD's. Which I supposedly still had up until evidently...lately! HAHA!

I've been feeling rather...scatter brained and moody, far more than normal, and my puppy fever as you can see is now a BLARING signal for BABY fever...But still this didn't dawn on me. I was still having a cycle and didn't even THINK about checking. On Tuesday when my cycle was a whopping 4 hours late I dug around under the sink and found a REALLY old pregnancy test from YEARS ago! It was unpacked with all my other random nonsense when the movers brought our things last weekend. So for fun I peed on the magic stick...la, la,la, off around the house to do so on and so forth forgetting about said test until later. Walk back into the bathroom passing the test, look down and think...."nu uh!" I immediately called a GF.
me: "Carol.....how faint does the second line have to be to be positive??!??!?!"
Carol: "HAHAHA, hunny if you can see the line at all..you're pregnant! Congratulations!!"
Me: " Uh...lol..thanks..I'll call you later after I talk to Matt..haahaa"
So then begins the frantic search under the sink for a second test I am SURE is there from way back when... since this old as dust test CAN NOT be right! AH HAA! Now to find more pee.....<-------downs half a gallon of water and cleans house hoping to pee.......PEE........Test......HOLY!!!!! WHATT!!!!!!
So sit and breath for a moment and think...Well I have to come up with a cute and clever way to tell Matt, seeing as this will be his 1st biological child. We ran to Lowes, bought him a tool set, and came home. I wrapped the tests and wrote "happy late Father's day" on it and put it in the tool case. Since we are down to one car I had to go pick him up from work, all the way home the kids were bursting to tell him "the secret" (which all they knew was I bought him a tool kit) so they blabbed as I knew they would and I said "I have another surprise in it, it's something you've REALLY REALLY REALLY always wanted"....Matt says .." Can I use it?" "Oh yes...for YEARS" lol ...then he starts begging to know. He knows I am a huge sucker and when it comes to good surprises I CAN NOT keep them. I KEPT IT!(the video is so bad because I originally recorded it with my cell phone, it was too big to send to my email so I used my camera to record my cell phones video...sorry...)
As you can see.....
He was REALLY excited. Afterwards we did the...."but how" talk...lol WE also didn't quiet believe the tests and went and bought a few more...YUP. I'd say 7 positives clenches it! We are pregnant! lol

The next day I went in and got a blood test to confirm it, and by Thursday morning at 6:45 am I was woken up by a phone call from the OB clinic on base, the Dr. wanted me in ASAP that morning to find out A) if my IUD was still in there some where...and B) talk about my AWESOME health history. While at the Dr.s we had an ultrasound to look for the missing IUD and the tech couldn't see it. That wasn't the ONLY thing she didn't see. She couldn't see the baby at all. 45 mins of fishing around my nether bits and nothing! So the dr gave us a grim little talk. We had 3 possibilities for why there was no baby seen. A) the pregnancy is Ectopic (tubal) and would have to be dealt with surgically. B) we had already miscarried and were still popping positive or C) We were so newly pregnant that the fetus is too small to be seen at all. We went for another blood test to confirm my hormone levels. 50 or below means miscarriage, 2000 or higher and ectopic. In between and we have to wait and be tested next Tuesday to find out if my hormone levels are rising or falling. Rising means obviously we are still carrying a baby and falling means we have or are miscarrying a baby. So we had a few really tense hours Thursday where my hormone levels got the best of me and we cried for a while. The dr's office did call ruling out Ectopic pregnancy thankfully! So we went from a 1/3 chance to now a 50/50% chance. We will know Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week.. so cross your fingers and keep us in your prayers. We really need it. Love you all!!!

Farsar's day??
I'm a little late posting this...it's been a busy week and frankly I've been a total scatter brain! We had a fun Father's day, the kids helped make breakfast in bed for Matt...well, breakfast on an air mattress, with Styrofoam plate! So classy! One of Matt's Father's day gifts was a new puppy . Puppy fever took over! Her name is Sasha, and she's a wiemeriener! She's 12 weeks old and ADORABLE!!! She and Cupcake wear each other out! We have two very high energy breed dogs and BOTH are exhausted by the lunch because they have each other to bounce off the walls with! Then later that afternoon we BBQ'd some AWESOME pork Chops! We still didn't have any furniture so we were really limited on what we could do at home other than watching tv together and playing with puppies..lol It was a great day celebrating and GREAT FATHER! I love you so much Matt, you are really a wonderful man to the kids and I! We love you!!!!!!!

home sweet home
Well Evidently this house really needs some help, but we got a 2 story 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath town house. It is empty other than the new tv cabinet, the box it came in, the styrofoam my heathens used to entertain themselves with while Matt put it together, and the new end tables. The furniture doesn't arrive until the 26th but within a few days after that expect new pictures! YAY. As of tomorrow we move out of guest housing and into our empty house and roughing it for a week until the household goods show up! wish me luck!!! lol

Late Birthday Post. CODY'S 8!!
I have been a very naughty Momma lately...well...busy is a better word. My little Cody bear turned 8 last week! He's too cute! I love and hate seeing him grow up. He's really funny and smart and artistic and very cuddly if you'll let him be. On Cody's birthday we had plans to go to "Paint and Party" and cute little shop where the kids can paint plaster pieces or ceramics and have cake and ice cream and so on while they dry and then gets to bring them home. However on his actual birth date the shop was closed due to a family emergency so we had to postpone that portion of it. We did end up going as a family this past weekend and had a blast. Even Matt painted a ceramic piece. It's really very therapeutic!
He got to go out to dinner and he chose The Wagon Master which is basically a cheap rip off of Texas Roadhouse but it's good. He also had picked out an Monster's Vs. Alien's cake which we shared with our awesome friends the Kilgore's, and then he played to his heart's content outside until almost 11pm with all the neighborhood kids while the adults sat out watching them, while we were eaten by mosquito's. ah I love Louisiana. lol.
One of the gifts he begged for was a Terminator Mask........And of course ALL the KIDS had to try it on.....including my sexy husband...as you can see....from the video...singing..."I'm too sexy for my shirt...." in the Terminators voice...now...if only he had used an Austrian accent..lol. Matt is going to KILL me for putting it on here but I don't care...I crack up every time I watch it so it's worth it..lol If you don't hear from me for a few weeks I may be grounded from blogging privelages..hehe.
All in all it was a fun birthday and he was a great sport about having to postpone portions of it! Happy birthday Cody Bear! I love you!
