Soccer Awards and Alexandria Zoo

May meant the end of soccer season, which I for one was thrilled to see. PHEW. Three boys in soccer with practices at the same time on the same nights meant Mom wasn't able to support each boy the way I wanted too. So come football season again we are only doing it where Michael and Cody are on the same team again because trying to spread it out like that just wasn't as fun for us as a family. Soccer was still a great experience. The boy's were all so spoiled during football to have such stellar coaches that in soccer they had some lessons to learn about, not so fantastic skills. Their coach didn't care much about good sportsmanship, where as the football stressed it all season, so when the coach allowed bad mouthing team mates and rubbing wins in other teams faces the boy's really had a hard time with it. Really hopeing that we luck out with great coaches again in football! Matty however had a great coach! Matty was like some little soccer star! He was a bolt of lightening and scored at least once in every game, usualy he was the only kid on his team scoreing and won all but one game for his team this season, the game they lost Matthew unfortunatly had a stomach flu and was cramping and vommiting but showed up to play half the game none the less! So proud of that boy!

The kids learned so much in their football season that despite playing against some really good friends none of them were out there being cruel, rather cheering on their friends no matter which team they were on!

Unfortunatly one of the draw backs of soccer was that there really wasn't much of a leesville league so that meant we had to drive to Alexandria very often for games. One weekend we had a mix up with the coach and ended up being in Alex for a game that was actually in leesville, ya, way to go on the planning coach. So we had to find something to do and that something was the Alexandria Zoo. It was actually really fun!!
